For Immediate Release:

The Nebraska Republican Party Affirms Our Platform Plank To Support The Innocent Life Of The Unborn.

Democrats in Nebraska and across the country continue to advocate for on-demand abortion with no restrictions or limitations. What they sadly fail to understand is how out-of-step they are with the American people. 80 percent of Americans think third-trimester abortions should be illegal, 77 percent believe we should ban infanticide, 80 percent support informing women about abortion alternatives, 58 percent support the Hyde Amendment, and 70 percent support parental notification.

The Dobbs ruling isn’t about banning abortion, it’s about ensuring Nebraskans make the best decision that represents their values and beliefs. Nebraskans support life and aren’t interested in the Democrats extremist views on abortion.

The NEGOP platform states: “We believe that life begins at conception and that all innocent human life is precious and should be protected. We support the reversal of Roe vs. Wade and an amendment to the United States Constitution banning abortions except those genuinely needed to save the life of the mother.”

NEGOP State Chairman Eric Underwood released the following statement, “The time has come for Nebraskans to make their voices heard on the practice of killing the innocent. In Nebraska, we do what we say we are going to do. We urge our Legislators in the Republican party to Pass SIGNFICANT pro-life legislation and save lives. Time is of the essence to protect life. The time has come to achieve a monumental step forward in Nebraska. The time has come to reaffirm our values and reestablish defending the innocent in our law.”

We support the future Governor of Nebraska, Jim Pillen. His quick, clear, and firm position on Pro-Life Issues is exactly what we need. Jim Pillen states, “As governor, I will do all I can to protect Nebraska’s unborn babies, support mothers, and ensure the dignity of human life in our state. Nebraska is a pro-life state, and I will work to affirm and strengthen our culture of life every single day.”

It is time our legislators stand strong on this issue, an issue many have clearly campaigned on. Campaign promises were made, party identification with a platform is imperative, and Nebraska is ready to move forward with just laws that protect the innocent.
